Student Loan Exit Interview

Exit Interview Process

According to federal regulations and the terms of your promissory note, you are required to complete a Student Financial Aid Exit Interview with the Office of Student Financial Services.  If you are a Student Financial Aid recipient, and your attendance status changes for any of the following reasons: dismissal, leave of absence, failure to re-enroll, less-than-half-time attendance, withdrawal or graduation.

Exit Interview documents, Repayment Schedules and Final-Truth-In-Lending Statements, containing your original signature should be returned to the Office of Student Financial Services at PO Box 20036, Houston TX 77025 or in person at 7000 Fannin, UCT 2220. 

NOTE:        Please be further advised, an academic hold (Academic holds will prevent the release of your transcript or diploma) will be placed on your record ten (10) days prior to your graduation for either or all of the reasons listed below.

1.                   Unpaid Emergency Loans.
2.                   Incomplete Financial Aid Exit Interview.
3.                   Incomplete Financial Aid paperwork or monetary issues. 

Payments to your emergency loan can be made from your checking account on-line at www.uasecho.com or by phone at 1-800-999-6227.  Please be sure to have your bank’s routing numbers and bank account number available before calling or signing on to make your payment.

To fulfill your exit interview requirement, please follow the instructions outlined below.

 

STEP 1 - Student Loan Exit Interview for Loans Administered by UTHSC-H

If you are the recipient of an institutional loan, you must go to the University's Student Loan Billing Servicer's (University Accounting Services, LLC) website at https://www.uasexit.com/ to complete the Student Loan Exit Interview for any institutional loans you received.

Upon logging into your UAS account, if your balance is a (0) or you do not have any loans on this site, you will not need to complete a Student Loan Exit Interview for Institutional Loans (or loans administered by UTHSC-H).

Please be sure that you have entered all the required information correctly to be absolutely certain that you do not need to complete a Student Loan Exit Interview at this site. Also be sure to print and complete the bottom portion of the Final-Truth-In-Lending Statement(s) and return it to the Office of Student Financial Services.

Steps to Complete the Exit Interview:

  1. Go to Click Exit Interview logo to Start Student Loan Exit Interview

  2. Fill in all of the required fields

  3. Select Login

  4. Follow the online instructions to complete this portion of the Student Loan Exit Interview

  5. Print and complete the bottom portion of the Final-Truth-In-Lending Statement(s) and return it to the Office of Student Financial Services.

 

STEP 2 - Student Loan Exit Interview for Stafford Loans

After you've completed the Student Loan Exit Interview for institutional loans, please go to the Texas Guaranteed Student Loan Corporation's website at http://mapping-your-future.org/services/oslcidx.htm to complete the Student Loan exit Interview for your Subsidized and Unsubsidized Stafford loans.

Steps to Complete the Exit Interview:

  1. Go to http://mapping-your-future.org/services/oslcidx.htm

  2. Select Stafford Exit Counseling

  3. Scroll to the bottom of the page

  4. Select Texas as the state

  5. Select University of Texas health Science Center at Houston-Houston, TX for your school option (M.D. Anderson students need to select University of Texas M.D. Anderson Cancer Center - Houston)

  6. Select Continue

  7. Read then select I Agree

  8. Follow the online instructions to complete the final portion of your Student Loan Exit Interview
